Khambhalia is the headquarters of the newly formed Devbhoomi Dwarka district. Travellers and pilgrims heading for Dwarka time and again use Khambhalia as a stop for Lunch/Dinner. And very often those coming from distant places stay overnight and depart for Dwarka early next morning as it is a mere 1 hour drive.
Khambhalia is an ancient city which was conquered upon by Jam Shri Rawalji the head of the Jadeja clan Rajput and then established it as the capital of Baradi for quite a long time.

Petroleum refineries such as Essar oil refinery, Vadinar oil refinery and Reliance oil refinery are located at a distance of about 30 km from Khambhalia. Amongst these Reliance is the world's largest oil refinery. Certain other small industries like Shri Nataraj Ceramic and Chemical Industries as well as Ashapura Mine Chem. Ltd. are also situated near Khambhalia.
Aradhna Dhaam a famous Art Gallery and a colossal Jain temple sited just 11 km outside Khambhalia on the way to Jamnagar is an ideal place for toddlers as well as adults. It houses a cheery garden as well which makes it a must-visit for all the travellers. This enormous tourist spot is the ultimate location for picnics. The Ghee dam of Khambhalia gets its name because of our famous Ghee and for the reason that when it overflows the water appears as white as ghee. It has become one of the favourite tourist site scenes for sunrise and sunset as it is situated at almost the edge of the city. The beautiful garden which goes by the name Anand Baug lies just besides Ghee dam. It is a wholesome park for children and grown-ups and certainly an ideal picnic location.
Shiru Lake is recognized very well for its prehistoric Shiva Temple. Besides this, the fair held there is unsurpassed and an absolute delight for the kids.
These fairs are held every year around the days of Janmashtami in August.

The annual fair of Khambhalia is one thing you surely do not want to miss. These fairs are jam-packed with exciting and thrilling rides. Cuisines of all kind are also served. The fair is held at three places. Each place hosts the fair for three consecutive days, the last day being the biggest and most extravagant.
